Three Possibly Habitable Planets Orbit Close To Their Star

Three planets orbiting an ultra cool dwarf star were discovered using the TRAPPIST telescope at ESO’s La Silla Observatory in Chile. Follow up observations using ESO’s Very Large Telesopce found that the inner planet’s orbital periods were 1.4 days and 2.4 days. The outer planet’s orbit was estimated between 4.5 to 73 days.
